How much does it cost to hire an investigator?
You pay an hourly rate which can be viewed by clicking the "Fees & Forms" tab. You control the cost by being specific about start and stop times for surveillance. Surveillance can be for as little as 4-hours or longer. You do not have to schedule multiple days at a time. You can see what happens the first time out then discuss what needs to be done next based on the surveillance information obtained.
How do I communicate with your office?
The phone number listed on our web site goes directly to the case managers cell phone. The same person will answer the phone every time. In case this number is ever discovered we use completely untraceable cell phone numbers. You may also choose to communicate completely through email and fax if you prefer.
I’m afraid to provide you with my email address or phone number. What if someone from your office calls while my spouse is around?
We do NOT require you to provide any contact information. It is listed on our form but you do not have to list it. Also, due to the nature of our business, we do not make or return phone calls to our client. We understand that we need to wait for you to call us when the conditions are right on your end. The only exception to this would be if we have discussed other arrangements in advance. Most people request that we contact them at work or leave a detailed voice mail message at their work number.
How do I contract your service?
After an initial contact by phone,
fax or email, the client and the case manager can discuss a confidential contract. The sensitive information about the subject, pictures, addresses, vehicles, hours, etc. will need to be exchanged at this time. At the request or needs of a client the contract and the sensitive information can be sent via fax, email or a scheduled meeting with the case manager.
Can I hire an investigator to check out an address?
Although we have a 4-hour minimum surveillance requirement, there are some situations we would be glad to drive out ahead of time to review the area and let you know if surveillance is possible or do a "Spot Check". This must be approved in advance. You would only be charged for the actual drive time and mileage.
What if I find out at the last minute that my spouse if going out after work and it’s already 3:00 p.m. Will you be able to get investigators out there before 4:30 p.m?
If investigators are available AND we already have all your paperwork and deposit, we will gladly rush out of the office at no additional cost. Or goal is to solve your case in a cost efficient manner.
What kind of information does a background investigation reveal?
Depending on the purpose for the background investigation (premarital, pre-employment screening, business relationship, dating), the results could provide information about local or national criminal prosecutions, involvement in prior litigation, prior marriages or divorces, and types of assets.
Can a private investigator disregard state and federal laws in order to obtain information or video documentation?
No, a private investigator cannot trespass or violate any law.
Will I be able to contact the investigators while they are working on my case?
You will be given the cell phone number of the lead investigator on your case. You will usually be given a specific time to call during the investigation to obtain an update and make any adjustments to the stop time based on what’s happening. If you obtain any important information about the location of your spouse during the investigation you can call our main
number or try contacting the lead investigator.
What if I do not spend all of the money I gave you for the retainer (deposit)? Arrangements will be made to send you a company check or drop off cash for the remaining balance.
What happens if I change my mind after I fill out the paperwork and send you the retainer?
You will receive a full refund. There are no cancellation fees.
Can I use this evidence for court?
Yes. Most cases settle out of court but there are a few cases each year that require our investigators to testify. In most cases we are allowed to present any evidence gathered during your investigation in court.
After the surveillance is conducted, what do I receive?
Each investigator will type a detailed report showing a time line of events. Photos will be inserted into the report of important activities. These photos are captured directly from the video tape evidence. A detailed invoice will also be prepared showing the number of hours worked.
